🥋 You Don’t Have a Lead Problem. You Have an Attention Problem.
And until you fix that, your marketing will always feel broken.

Hello, kickers!
🚨 This Week’s Focus: You Don’t Need More Leads, You Need More Attention
Most school owners think their biggest problem is leads. Not enough calls, not enough trials, not enough people walking through the door. So they do what most people do. They tweak ads, spend more money, and hope the next campaign fixes it.
But this week’s issue challenges that thinking. Because the real problem is not lead flow. It is visibility. It is attention. And more importantly, it is consistency. When your school is not showing up in your community on a regular basis, no amount of ad spend is going to fix that long term.
Inside this issue, we break down the difference between chasing leads and building attention, the three ways to consistently fill your pipeline, and the mindset shift that turns reactive marketing into predictable growth. If you have been stuck in the cycle of doing more without seeing better results, this is the reset you need.
Let’s get into it. 👊🔥

🥋 You Don’t Have a Lead Problem. You Have an Attention Problem.

The Open
Let me challenge your thinking for a second.
If I asked you right now what your biggest business problem is, how many of you would say leads?
Now here’s the real question.
How many of you said the same thing six months ago?
Sit with this:
You don’t have a lead problem. You have an attention problem.
One is a marketing issue.
The other is a mindset issue.
And you cannot fix the first until you deal with the second.
The Diagnosis
Most school owners treat leads reactively.
The month slows down.
They panic.
They throw money at ads.
They post more for two weeks.
Then they go right back to running classes.
That is not a strategy. That is a fire drill.
The real question is this:
What are you doing every week to make sure your community knows you exist?
Not your current members.
Your community.
Because being great at what you do is not the same as being easy to find.
The Visibility Truth
Think about your marketing like a bucket.
You want as many sources as possible pouring into it.
Ads are helpful. But they are not the foundation.
Your community presence is.
Because if your ads stop tomorrow, what is left?
The Real Example
We had a client in California. Seven locations. Running five dollars a day in ads and still pulling in two leads per day per location.
Everyone thought it was magic.
It was not.
They were so visible in their community that by the time someone saw the ad, the decision had already started forming.
The ad did not create the demand. It confirmed it.
That is the difference.
The Resistance Myth
Picture this.
You are standing still. You feel almost no wind.
You start running. You feel more resistance.
You stick your hand out of a car at 60 miles per hour. Massive resistance.
The wind did not change. You did.
The more resistance you feel, the more movement is actually happening.
So when:
Posting feels awkward
Walking into a business feels uncomfortable
Showing up at events feels unnatural
That is not failure.
That is motion.
The people who quit early do not fail because the strategy did not work.
They fail because they misunderstood what resistance means.
The Framework
There are three ways to build attention.
1. JABS
These are your daily and weekly actions.
Social content
Google Business Profile updates
Outreach
Consistency
They do not create spikes.
They create familiarity.
And familiarity builds trust.
Most people are inconsistent here.
And inconsistency is a strategy.
Just not the one you want.
2. CROSSES
These create real opportunities.
Community events
School outreach
Local partnerships
Booths
Parades
These should happen monthly.
You should know three months in advance where you are showing up.
One weekend booth can generate 30 to 40 appointments.
Stop waiting for leads. Start hunting for them.
3. REFERRALS
This one is simple.
You are not asking.
Your best families would send you more students.
But you are waiting for it to happen naturally.
That is not a strategy.
That is avoidance.
The Goal
150 leads per month.
70 percent from organic activity.
That means:
Community
Relationships
Referrals
Ads should amplify your growth, not carry it.
If 90 percent of your leads come from ads, you do not have a system.
You have a dependency.
The Self-Audit
Answer these honestly.
How many community events did you attend in the last 30 days?
How many referrals did you directly ask for?
How visible is your school to someone who has never heard of you?
Do not rush the answer.
That gap is your opportunity.
The Belief That Is Holding You Back
Here is the real reason most owners are not visible.
It is not lack of knowledge.
It is a belief.
“If my product is good enough, people will find me.”
That belief is comfortable.
It lets you stay hidden.
But here is the truth:
The best product in the world with zero visibility is still invisible.
And invisible businesses do not grow.
The Responsibility Shift
Your community needs you.
There are parents right now trying to help their kids with confidence, discipline, and direction.
They are looking for a solution.
If they cannot find you, they will find someone else.
This is not marketing.
This is responsibility.
Visibility is not bragging. It is stewardship.
The Challenge
Three things. This week.
1. Book One Event
Get it on the calendar tonight.
2. Fix Your Google Profile
Check it. Complete it. Improve it.
3. Ask for Three Referrals
In person. Directly. By name.
That is it.
The Close
You do not build attention overnight.
You build it through consistent action until one day someone walks in and says:
“I’ve been seeing you everywhere.”
That is not luck.
That is consistency.
That is leadership.
That is what growth looks like.
Final Question
What is the one visibility action you have been avoiding that would change your lead flow if you did it consistently?
Say it out loud.
Then go do it.
If you want, I can now build the full issue:

🔥 Gary Vaynerchuk – One Piece of Content Can Change Everything
Most people overthink content and never start. But one simple green screen video a day can shift your entire trajectory. It builds visibility, sharpens your voice, and puts you in the game. You don’t need perfection. You need consistency. One piece of content could open doors you didn’t even know existed.

Most people avoid discomfort, but that’s where real growth lives. Every scar, every blister, every moment you refuse to quit becomes part of your story. Pain isn’t something to hide. It’s evidence of discipline, resilience, and showing up when it’s hardest. Comfort fades fast, but what you endure stays with you.

📚 What We’re Reading: Traffic Secrets by Russell Brunson
If this week’s issue is about attention, Traffic Secrets is about how to actually capture it and turn it into leads. Russell Brunson breaks down a simple truth: your business does not need more people in the world. It needs to get in front of the right people who already exist.
This book shows you how to find where your ideal customers are already paying attention, how to position yourself in those environments, and how to consistently drive new prospects into your pipeline without relying on guesswork.
Key Takeaways for School Owners
✅ You do not need more traffic. You need better targeting.
Your audience is already out there. You just have to show up where they are.
✅ Attention lives in communities, not just platforms.
Facebook, local events, schools, businesses. Go where your people already gather.
✅ Funnels work better when attention already exists.
Your ads and offers convert higher when your community already knows your name.
If you want to stop guessing where leads come from and start building a consistent flow of new families into your school, this book gives you the roadmap.

Nick’s Summer Camp campaign is gaining traction fast. In just one week, it has already generated 26 leads at only $6 each, showing strong early performance and clear demand in his market.
Seasonal programs like Summer Camp create massive opportunity when marketed at the right time. This is a great example of how early action turns into momentum.
If you are running a Summer Camp this year, now is the time to get in front of your community and fill those spots.

🔥 That’s a Wrap for This Week!
Leads are not something you turn on and off. They are the result of consistent attention built over time. The owners who win are not the ones who scramble when things get slow. They are the ones who show up every week, build presence in their community, and stay visible long enough for trust to compound.
This week, stop chasing quick fixes and start building a system. Show up where your people are. Stay consistent when it feels like nothing is happening. And trust that attention, built the right way, always turns into opportunity.
Go earn it.👊🔥 #TheKick
