The Belief Thatās Keeping You Stuck (And How to Replace It This Week)
Every school owner has goals. But most people live with a massive gap between what they say they want and what they actually do. That gap has nothing to do with time, discipline, or talent.
It comes from the story youāre telling yourself ā the one that makes staying stuck feel acceptable.
Stories like:
⢠āIām not ready yet.ā
⢠āIām not good at sales.ā
⢠āI donāt have time.ā
⢠āPeople like me donāt do that.ā
These arenāt facts. Theyāre habits of thought. And youāve repeated them so long they feel true.
This week, weāre rewriting the script.
Step 1: Name the Story
Fill in these blanks:
āI havenāt achieved my goal because ___.ā
āIām not the kind of person who ___.ā
āI could never ___ because ___.ā
Say it out loud. Thatās the belief running your decisions.
Step 2: Ask Where It Came From
Most limiting beliefs are borrowed ā from a parent, teacher, boss, or a past failure you turned into identity.
You didnāt choose the story.
But you are responsible for whether you keep it.
Step 3: Test the Evidence
Ask yourself:
āWhat proof do I have this story is actually true?ā
Not feelings. Not assumptions. Actual evidence.
Most people realize they have none.
The story isnāt true ā itās just familiar.
Step 4: Calculate the Cost
What has this belief cost you?
⢠Income you didnāt earn
⢠Opportunities you never took
⢠Skills you avoided developing
⢠Confidence you never built
If your limiting belief costs you $100K/year in unrealized potential, thatās $1M in a decade.
Comfort isnāt free.
Itās expensive.
Step 5: Install the New Story

Write your new story. Say it out loud.
Step 6: Reinforce It All Week
Your old story has years of repetition.
Your new story has five minutes.

⢠Daily Repetition: Read your new story every morning.
⢠Evidence Collection: Find one piece of proof each day that supports it.
⢠Trigger Response: When the old story appears, say the new one out loud.
This is how beliefs actually change.
