šŸ“– Rewriting the Story That’s Running Your Life (Before It Costs You Another Year)

The Belief That’s Keeping You Stuck And How to Replace It This Week

Hello, kickers!

🚨 The Kick is Here: This Week’s Focus - Rewriting the Narrative

This week’s issue is all about the gap between who you are and who you’re becoming — and more importantly, the stories that keep that gap in place. In the main article, we’re breaking down the limiting beliefs school owners repeat so often they start to feel true, and how to rewrite those stories into something that actually serves your future instead of protecting your past.

Inside, you’ll also find this week’s Breakthrough Performance Report, a fresh lineup in What’s Kickin’ on Social, a book pick that pairs perfectly with the theme, and a special announcement for IMPAKT Live in Newport Beach. If you’re ready to shift your mindset, sharpen your leadership, and start operating from a higher level of belief, you’re in the right place. Let’s dive in.

šŸ“– Rewriting the Story That’s Running Your Life (Before It Costs You Another Year)

The Belief That’s Keeping You Stuck (And How to Replace It This Week)

Every school owner has goals. But most people live with a massive gap between what they say they want and what they actually do. That gap has nothing to do with time, discipline, or talent.

It comes from the story you’re telling yourself — the one that makes staying stuck feel acceptable.

Stories like:

• ā€œI’m not ready yet.ā€
• ā€œI’m not good at sales.ā€
• ā€œI don’t have time.ā€
• ā€œPeople like me don’t do that.ā€

These aren’t facts. They’re habits of thought. And you’ve repeated them so long they feel true.

This week, we’re rewriting the script.

Step 1: Name the Story

Fill in these blanks:

  1. ā€œI haven’t achieved my goal because ___.ā€

  2. ā€œI’m not the kind of person who ___.ā€

  3. ā€œI could never ___ because ___.ā€

Say it out loud. That’s the belief running your decisions.

Step 2: Ask Where It Came From

Most limiting beliefs are borrowed — from a parent, teacher, boss, or a past failure you turned into identity.

You didn’t choose the story.
But you are responsible for whether you keep it.

Step 3: Test the Evidence

Ask yourself:

ā€œWhat proof do I have this story is actually true?ā€

Not feelings. Not assumptions. Actual evidence.

Most people realize they have none.
The story isn’t true — it’s just familiar.

Step 4: Calculate the Cost

What has this belief cost you?

• Income you didn’t earn
• Opportunities you never took
• Skills you avoided developing
• Confidence you never built

If your limiting belief costs you $100K/year in unrealized potential, that’s $1M in a decade.

Comfort isn’t free.
It’s expensive.

Step 5: Install the New Story

A real reframe is:

  1. True

  2. Evidence-based

  3. Empowering

Examples:

ā€œI’m not readyā€ → ā€œReadiness comes from doing.ā€
ā€œI don’t have timeā€ → ā€œI haven’t prioritized this.ā€
ā€œI’m not good at salesā€ → ā€œI’m learning sales through repetition.ā€

Write your new story. Say it out loud.

Step 6: Reinforce It All Week

Your old story has years of repetition.
Your new story has five minutes.

Here’s how you even the odds:

• Daily Repetition: Read your new story every morning.
• Evidence Collection: Find one piece of proof each day that supports it.
• Trigger Response: When the old story appears, say the new one out loud.

This is how beliefs actually change.

Final Word

You’re not failing because you lack strategy.
You’re failing because you’re loyal to a story that no longer deserves you.

This week, don’t become a new person — just tell yourself a new story.

Give it seven days.
By next Monday, you’ll have evidence it works.
And once you have evidence, belief follows.

šŸ“– What We’re Reading: The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest

If this week’s article hit you in the gut (in the good way), The Mountain Is You is the perfect follow-up. Brianna Wiest breaks down why we self-sabotage, how our old stories become emotional ā€œsurvival systems,ā€ and how to finally outgrow the beliefs that keep us stuck.

This book isn’t soft or abstract — it’s one of the clearest, most practical deep-dives into identity change and internal resistance. It’s about learning to recognize the stories you’ve been loyal to… and replacing them with ones that actually match the life you want.

Key Takeaways for School Owners:

āœ… Self-sabotage is not a personality flaw — it’s unprocessed fear.
Your ā€œI’m not readyā€ and ā€œI’m not that kind of personā€ stories? They’re protection mechanisms, not truth.

āœ… Your biggest breakthroughs come from rewriting your identity narrative.
Systems matter. Skills matter. But nothing works if your inner story says you don’t belong at the next level.

āœ… Your growth is on the other side of emotional pattern interruption.
You don’t need a different life to change — you need a different interpretation of the one you already have.

If you’re ready to dismantle the story you’ve been living in and build one that matches your actual potential, start here.

šŸ“ˆ Relentless Results: Success Stories from RMA

This week brought a wave of powerful campaign results from owners running with the Breakthrough Advertising system. These aren’t guesses or ā€œgood weeksā€ — they’re clear indicators of systems working, offers landing, and momentum building.

šŸ”„ Macey Jaime – Crushing It With $9 Leads
In the last 7 days, Macey’s campaign has pulled in 19 leads at just $9 each. That’s serious efficiency paired with strong audience response. When your offer and targeting align, results like this follow.

šŸ”„ Dan Righter – Consistent, Scalable Performance
Dan’s campaign continues to deliver, generating leads at $13 each over the last week. With his Black Friday All Month ads now live, this performance is expected to climb even higher. A great example of stacking proven systems with seasonal strategy.

šŸ”„ Chris Cusanelli & Mike Singer – Powerful Start for Rumble Location
After launching their ads just one week ago, they’re already seeing 33 leads at only $15 each. That’s a strong opening performance and a clear signal that their foundation is set up correctly for scale.

Let’s build campaigns that turn attention into appointments — and growth into something predictable.

šŸ“¬ Have Something That Is Kick Worthy?

We know our readers have great ideas, insights, and stories to share! If you’ve got something that’s "kick-worthy"—whether it’s a success story, a marketing tip, or something that’s helping your school thrive—submit it to us at [email protected]. Your content could be featured in an upcoming edition of The Kick and shared with martial arts school owners around the world!

šŸ”„ That’s a Wrap for This Week!

As you move through the week, pay attention to the stories you catch yourself repeating. Not the loud ones — the subtle ones. The ones that show up in hesitation, in procrastination, in the moments you play smaller than you know you should. Those stories aren’t permanent. They’re patterns. And patterns can be rewritten the moment you decide they no longer get to run the show.

Everything in this issue — from the mindset work to the campaign wins to the voices we highlighted — points to the same truth: your next level won’t come from doing more. It will come from thinking differently. Rewrite the narrative, and your behavior follows. Rewrite your behavior, and the results compound. The gap between who you are and who you’re becoming isn’t as wide as it feels — it’s only as wide as the story you’ve been telling yourself. Change the story, and the path opens.
